In Canvas App, galleries are a feature that allows users to display a collection of images or other media items in a visually appealing way. Galleries can be added to Canvas pages, modules, and assignments, and can be customized to meet the specific needs of the user.

To add a gallery to a Canvas page, module, or assignment, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Canvas page, module, or assignment where you want to add the gallery.
  2. Click the “Edit” button to open the Canvas editor.
  3. Click the “Insert Content” button and select “Gallery” from the dropdown menu.
  4. Choose the layout for your gallery (e.g. grid, carousel, slideshow) and click “Create”.
  5. Upload the images or media items you want to include in the gallery, and add any necessary captions or descriptions.
  6. Customize the gallery settings, such as autoplay, navigation arrows, and thumbnail size, as needed.
  7. Save and publish your Canvas page, module, or assignment.

Once your gallery is published, viewers can click on the images to view them in more detail or navigate through the gallery using the navigation arrows or thumbnails. Galleries can be a great way to showcase student work, display class photos, or share course-related images or media.
